The outer layer of the plaster acts as an effective barrier against bacteria and viruses, for improved hygiene. Their blue colour makes them highly visible so you can find one quickly in an emergency. They also have a layer of aluminium and tungsten, making them detectable by X-ray or metal detector equipment, which reduces the risk of contamination during manufacture.
Their dressings have a good level of waterproofing to withstand moisture and regular handwashing and the plasters are impermeable to oil and fat. Use them in food processing environments, as well as laboratories and construction settings.
