BM70 Bluetooth 4.2 Compact Demo Board (CDB)
The BM-70-CDB compact demo board is a rapid prototyping and development tool for Bluetooth Low-Energy wireless applications. It is based on the BM70 Bluetooth 4.2 compliant RF module. Smartphone apps from Microchip are available on the Apple iTunes® and Google Play™ Store to demonstrate the capabilities of the BM70 module: SmartDiscover, SmartData and BLESensorApp.

• On-board MCP2200 USB-UART Bridge for PC connection
• On-board MCP1700 +3.3V LDO regulator
• On-board MCP112 +1.9V brown-out detector
• 4 x DIP switches to set operating mode

• USB micro-B socket
• Test point for current measurement
• Jumper link to select USB or Coin-cell power supply
• Breakout headers for BM70 or Sensor board connection

The BM-70-CDB is a compact demo board that provides rapid prototyping and developing for Bluetooth data applications for Bluetooth Low Energy. It can be powered via USB host or through the battery. The BM-70-CDB uses the BM70, a fully certified Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy module. The BM-70-CDB provides a USB-UART converter allowing flexible interface to a host PC, a PC terminal utility and smartphone apps to drive both BLE serial data connections and custom BLE services.
