The combination of tap and drill bits is perfect for creating holes, tapping and thread cutting in a range of materials when used with a hand or power tool such as a tap wrench or power drill.

This compact yet versatile set features taps with thread sizes including M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 with drills to accommodate each size. The set is also supplied with an adjustable tap wrench, providing excellent torque and control as well as a durable steel case for safe storage when not in use.

Drill sets are perfect for driving into a surface or material to create a hole whilst tap sets are ideal for cutting thread (tapping) into the hole, to create a clean fitting for bolts and other materials. Tap & drill sets combine both, creating a versatile set that can be used in a wide range of applications. This versatile set can be used with both hand tools and power tools, depending on the application required. Using a hand tool such as a tap wrench will provide a more controlled and precise thread, whereas a power tool will allow for rapid tapping or drilling.

It is recommended that lubrication is regularly applied to the set when in use, to allow for friction free threading with precision. This will ensure that a clean thread is achieved with minimal damage.

A tap set is used to create or repair threads in holes which is ideal for things such as nuts and fittings, this process is called tapping. Die sets are used to cut threads on materials such as steel rods to allow a fitting to be screwed on and attached, this is called threading.
