SKF Shielded Deep-Groove Ball Bearing, 10mm ID, 26mm OD - 6000-2Z
This SKF deep-groove ball bearing is shielded at both ends to guard against infiltration from dirt and debris while helping retain the grease within the bearing. This design ensures a reduced level of friction so the bearing can handle simultaneous, high-speed axial and radial loads. The smooth raceway and precisely designed balls keep both vibrations and noise low for a quiet work environment and minimal wear. Thanks to its dynamic load rating of 4.75kN, this is a good choice for supporting heavy moving parts.
• Performs at temperatures of up to +120°C for use in harsh industrial environments
• Parallel bore type makes mounting onto the shaft simple
• Limiting speed of 34,000rpm (rotations per minute) permits use in very high-speed applications
Applications
• Household appliances
• Pool pumps
• Printing industry
What's the difference between a shielded end and a sealed end?
A sealed end usually has rubber seals that stop moisture and chemicals getting into the bearing. A shielded end has a metal shield with a gap that keeps dirt and debris out but is less effective at resisting moisture. One advantage of shielded bearings is that they aren't limited by speed, while bearing seals limit the maximum speed of the bearing.
