    Emergency Escape Signs

The basic elements of fire safety as laid down in the Fire Precautions Act 1971and The Revised Proposal for the Fire Precautions (Places of Work) Regulations demand the provision of an adequate means of escape from all premises. This includes the clear indication of escape routes and exit doors, together with the provision of emergency lighting where appropriate.
Our range of emergency escape and way guidance products allows you to meet these requirements and ensure speedy evacuation of your building in the event of an emergency.
All emergency and way guidance sign designs are guaranteed to comply with the relevent UK & EC legislation.
The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations state that the intrinsic features of emergency escape or fire exit safety signs are:

    A rectangle or square shape
A white pictogram on a green background (the green part to take up at least 50% of the area of the sign)

The regulations also state that all fire exit safety signs must contain a symbol e.g. a running man. Supplementary text only signs (e.g. FIRE EXIT) can be included on a sign or used in conjuction with a symbol sign but cannot be used without a symbol.
