Allen Bradley Micro850 Programmable Logic Controller
Experience superior I/O performance, customisation, and versatility with the Micro850TM Programmable Logic Controller by Allen Bradley, designed to be the leading controller of the Micro800 family.
These expandable controllers are specially designed to handle larger, stand-alone machine control applications which require greater I/O capabilities and flexible communications. They feature space-saving Plug-in, Expansion I/O modules, and removable terminal blocks for enhanced convenience. These programmable controllers are also equipped with the same form factor, Plug-in support, instruction/data size and embedded motion capabilities as the Micro830 devices. Micro850 PLCs include extra communication connection options through an embedded 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port. They are expandable up to a maximum of 132 digital I/O points to give you optimal performance and functionality. For ease-of-installation Micro800 system control devices share common software and accessories.

Software:
The Micro850 PLCs use Connected Components Workbench programming software, which is free to download. This software provides controller programming, device configuration and data sharing with the HMI editor for PanelView Component operator products. The software also supports three standard IEC programming languages: ladder diagram, function block diagram and structured text. Password protection is supported for all Micro800 programmable controllers, ensuring a higher level of security.
2080-LC50-24QWB:
The Micro850 2080-LC50-24QWB controller has 24 digital input/outputs: 14 24Vdc/Vac inputs, 10 relay outputs. It has embedded 24V DC Power Supply. It has 3 base plug-in slots, and up to 4 expansion modules can be used. It has an operating temperature range of -20°C to 65°C and supports a maximum of four 2-wire High Speed Counters (HSC).
Base programming port: Embedded USB 2.0 (non-isolated).
Embedded communications ports: USB 2.0 (non-isolated), RS232/RS485 non-isolated combo serial, 10/100 Base T Ethernet port (RJ-45).
What is a PLC and how does it work?
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) are complex computers which automate control processes by using programs to communicate electronic signals to machines and devices. In simplified terms, they are usually comprised of three components: A CPU (Central Processing Unit), which is the brain or processor of the system, Inputs, and Outputs. An input module detects signals from things like switches, sensors, and buttons. This is processed by the CPU, which leads to an output relaying the CPUs instructions to a machine or device. PLC system functions can be expanded by adding extra I/O modules. PLC systems are widely used in modern industrial automation for controlling machinery, in industries such as packaging, food and beverage production, pharmaceutical, and printing. Allen Bradley offer excellent control capabilities with their flexible SLC/PLC systems to give you optimal power and performance.
