This option from Honeywell is designed for applications where the slightest over temperature can be critical and where there's a need for highly accurate temperature readings. Its compact size and combination of metals allow it to respond rapidly to temperature changes. The unit has an SPST (single pole, single throw) construction, so it acts as an on-off switch. It's actuated by a snap-action bi-metal disc that's temperature-sensitive. This triggers the normally-closed (NC) contacts when surface or ambient temperatures reach the operational set point of +70°C.
