RS PRO 1 kVA Enclosed Autotransformer, 220 V AC, 230 V AC, 240 V AC Primary, 115 V AC Secondary
When you need to step down supply voltages, turn to this RS PRO enclosed autotransformer. Thanks to its primary voltage rating of 220 V AC, 230 V AC or 240 V AC and its secondary voltage rating of 115 V AC, it can power US equipment on higher European voltages.
The autotransformer has four mounting holes and a compact design, so you can easily install it in a variety of locations. It has a varnish-impregnated coil for better dielectric strength and is fully shrouded to minimise electrical interference. Its terminal blocks have protective coverings, and the unit has been electrical and flash tested to ensure safe operation at high voltages.
This autotransformer can be used to start induction motors and regulate transmission line voltage. It does not provide isolation from the mains.
