Capacitors X class are designed for connecting directly across a mains supply, but should NOT be used in positions where failure of a capacitor would expose anybody to electric shock.

The EPCOS Polypropylene film capacitor has 0.1uF capacitance. It has Parallel wire leads, lead-free tinned and special lead lengths available on request. The maximum operating temperature is 110 °C. It is used for X1 class for interference suppression.
