TE Connectivity Novo Series IDC Ribbon Cable Connectors


TE’s Novo series IDC ribbon cable connectors are designed to work hand in hand with compatible flat ribbon cables to create a cable assembly. With military and centre polarization, the Novo series is to be used with wire to board IDC ribbon cable connectors with centre and military polarized centres and a 2.54 x 2.54 mating grid for 1.27mm pitch ribbon cable. These AMP-LATCH Novo IDC ribbon cable connectors are MADE from UL 94V-0 thermoplastic with two rows of IDC duplex plated tuning fork style contacts accepting a wire size of 28-26 AWG. A cover is supplied with these AMP-LATCH Novo housing assemblies and optional strain reliefs are available.

IDC is short for Insulation-Displacement Connector. These electrical connectors are designed for ribbon cables and telecommunications applications. They are also referred to as insulation-piercing contacts (IPCs).
