Keep your electrical equipment safe from circuit blowouts with this miniature circuit breaker from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. As a type B breaker, it trips at between three and five times the current it's rated to handle. This makes it ideal for resistive, non-inductive loads and low-power domestic applications, such as lighting circuits. The device has two switching terminals for dual-phase electrical systems, turning the current off when the maximum current rating of 10kA (kiloamps) is exceeded.

The 1492-SPM series of MCB’s are current limiting and have an instantaneous break time. These models have Type B Tripping characteristics. They are IP20 finger-safe and they also have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. Installation is simple as these MCB’s can be DIN rail mounted, and up to six accessories can be fixed on the same circuit breaker to provide a complete electrical safety system. The 1492-SPM series of circuit breakers reduces downtime from nuisance tripping due to their enhanced shock and vibration resistance.

A Type B miniature circuit breaker will trip instantly at a rate of three to five times its rated current. These MCB’s are often used for small inductive loads where switching surges are very low. They are frequently used in residential or light commercial applications.
