ABB S2CU Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker, 100A Current Rating, 25kA Breaking Capacity - 2CDE283001R0100 E203/100R

This moulded case circuit-breaker provides overcurrent protection for industrial electrical installations and control systems. Designed for single-pole DIN-rail mounting, it interrupts fault currents and allows manual resetting via a lever, suited to automation and electrical distribution contexts.

Features and Benefits:

• 100A rated current gives stable protection for medium-duty circuits • 25kA breaking capacity limits fault energy during short circuits • 400V AC rated for three-phase and single-phase distribution systems • 12V DC trip/reset lever enables remote release and reset options • Screw terminals ensure secure conductor retention and simple wiring • Complies with EN VDE IEC standards for recognised interoperability

Applications

• Suitable for control panels in factory automation • Ideal for protecting motor-control circuits • Used with distribution boards in industrial facilities • Can be used for safeguarding power feeders in machine tools

What mounting method does it use for panel installation?

It clips directly onto a standard DIN rail for Rapid installation and straightforward replacement.

How many poles does it provide and what implication does that have?

It is a single-pole device, so it isolates one conductor while integrating easily into multi-pole schemes when combined with other units.

What Terminal connection type is fitted and how does that affect wiring?

Terminals use captive screws, allowing secure clamping of conductors and compatibility with common installation practices.

Which approvals indicate suitability for global industrial use?

It carries recognised approvals including KEMA, CE and CCC, demonstrating assessment against international conformity criteria.

Note

These contacts can not be used with type ESB20 installation contactors, only higher types e.g. ESB24
