These two-part enclosures are a high-quality and versatile enclosure solution, ideal for use with hand held electronic devices used for measuring applications. The lightweight, yet ultra-durable ABS enclosure offers a comfortable and ergonomic design for the user and offers a cut out front for LCD displays to be visible when in use. Additionally, it provides a battery compartment for x2 AA batteries for added functionality. Rated IP54, this enclosure offers fantastic basic protection from the elements like dust and debris, as well as some water protection and is a versatile protective casing for hand held electronic devices.

An IP rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water in electrical enclosures. The first number indicates the protection from solids and the second number is the protection from liquids.

This enclosure has an IP54 rating so only protected from dust, debris and light water ingress so this product is not recommended for outside use. When the optional gasket is purchased and used in conjunction with the gasket accessory, the IP rating goes up to 65 which means it is protected from water spray, dust and debris, so this enclosure unit could be used outside, however, regular inspection and maintenance checks are advised.
