Mennekes PowerTOP Plus 63 Amp and 125 Amp IP67 Cable Mount Connectors
From Mennekes, the PowerTOP Plus series of IP67 watertight industrial power connectors are robust, reliable and easy to connect. Secure socket contacts ensuring smooth insertion and disconnection through SoftCONTACT for 63 Amp versions and TorsionSpringCONTACT for 125 Amp versions. A spring loaded hinged lid opens easily by sliding the integrated opening mechanism on the connector. Moulded seals in the inner rim of the lid ensure the PowerTOP Plus connectors are fully sealed to IP67 when mated. A rugged cable gland at the rear of the industrial power connector with integrated strain relief prevents cable kinking. Constructed from a tough Amaplast casing, including nickel plated contacts and heat resistant contact carriers supporting excellent corrosion resistance. Ergonomically designed for a slip-proof grip the PowerTOP Plus series of BS4343 industrial power connectors perform exceptionally well in the most demanding environments.
X-CONTACT
Due to a completely new manufacturing process, the X-CONTACT® sleeve obtains resilient properties based solely on its material characteristics, without the need to use any additional spring elements. Thanks to the shape of the X-CONTACT® sleeve, a particularly safe contact closure can be achieved.
The special design of the X-CONTACT® reduces the effort of insertion and withdrawal by up to 50%. An advantage that simplifies work processes and improves safety especially with high electrical currents. With X-CONTACT®, MENNEKES creates a safe contact closure and easy handling at a new, equally high level.
But how does X-CONTACT® achieve these benefits even with currents of 63 A or 125 A? A glance into the opening of an X-CONTACT® sleeve reveals the intelligent functional principle: the X-shaped slot and groove in the inner wall provides four advantages of the new design: innovative, simple, durable and safe. We call it the X principle"

Environmental Protection – IP Rating
Mennekes PowerTOP plus IP67 water tight industrial power connectors are designed in accordance with BS EN 60529. The IP rating is composed of two numbers. The first number refers to protection from solid matter, the second number for protection against liquids. The higher the number the better the protection. See technical datasheets for full definitions.
Colour Coding
CEE Power Connectors have an industry standard colour coding in compliance with BS EN 60309-2 / BS4343 and IEC 309 Colour coding refers to a connectors rated voltage.
• Violet, 20 V to 25 V
• White, 40 V to 50 V
• Yellow, 100 V to 130 V
• Blue, 200 V to 250 V

Applications
BS4343 industrial power connectors are found in almost all areas of industrial applications. Some of the most common areas are;
• Construction sites: Outdoor sites, connectors left in damp conditions transformers and generators
• Food industry: Locations where washing down of equipment is imperative.
• Agriculture: Outdoor installation pumping on tractors and slurry trucks, pumps for animal feed.
• Heavy Industry: Steel mills, foundries, where connections are exposed to dust and metallic particles.
• Entertainment and sports: Connections on lighting and filming equipment exposed to rain, mud, and snow.
• Ship yards and ports: Docks, piers and boat moorings. Connections exposed to rough seas and flooding

Mennekes PowerTOP
Plugs, sockets, appliance inlets and interlocked sockets conforming to the latest requirements of British and European standards. The insulator outer casing and interiors are manufactured from Amaplast (nylon 6) 16/32A, Amelan 63 / 125A for excellent mechanical performance. This material provides good electrical insulation and will meet the requirements of most industrial environments.
Contact tubes and pins are made of brass. To prevent incorrect connection, the earth contact is in a different position, relative to the safety key way on each socket outlet, for each voltage. All types are colour coded by voltage and are suitable for 50/60Hz operation.
Products are type tested to VDE.
