Polypropylene Rope
From RS Pro, a robust 3 strand fibre rope made from blue Polypropylene. The high strength Polypropylene rope is primarily designed for securing, towing, and fastening.
Features and Benefits
Lightweight, making it easy to manoeuvre and store when not in use.
Excellent abrasion resistance, reducing wear and tear.
Does not absorb water, allowing the rope to float.
Resistant to rot mould and marine decay, ideal for use in damp and wet conditions.
Polypropylene is resistant to most acids and alkaline.
UV –stabilised against sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Applications
Polypropylene rope has many uses in the industrial and non-industrial sectors. Some great examples are;
Fishing industry
With its excellent water resistant and UV stabilised properties, Polypropylene rope is ideal for marine applications. The rope can be used for securing cargo nets or buoys to the side of the boat, or as rope ladders and gangway hand rails.
Roofing and Construction
Polypropylene rope is strong and lightweight. It is often used to secure tarpaulins that cover and protect objects or structures on building sites, roofing, farm yards and delivery vehicles.
Leisure Centres
Polypropylene rope is resistant to water absorption, so it does not swell. This desirable attribute makes the rope especially useful in swimming pool lanes and for securing buoyancy aids.

RS PRO Polypropylene Rope
Polypropylene Rope is a desirable construction in many sectors of our lives and thanks to twisting nature of the fibres we can enjoy significantly stronger material than Cord.
We are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Rope, providing robust three-strand fibre Rope made from blue Polypropylene. The high strength of our Rope is ideal for securing, towing or fastening. The Rope is 220 m (220,000 mm) long and conforms to BS4928 Part 2 regulating man-made fibre ropes.
The Rope is characterising acceptable abrasion resistance parameters with high breaking loads. On top of that, you are getting elasticity and outstanding damping behaviour to keep the shock loads secure and with absorb forces.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Rope and Cord?
Even though the Cord is twisted together to create a similar shape to Rope, there is a significant parameters difference. The Rope is made of multiple and thicker strings twisted or braided together with thicker diameter, meaning it is a much stronger material than Cord.
Is there a difference between the strength of short and long Rope?
The strength of the Rope lies in its length and diameter of the Rope. The longer the Rope, the more considerable amount of strength in a Rope. Our range of Ropes include:
