As a YY-type cable, its insulation and outer sheath are MADE of PVC. This material is a reliable industrial choice, as it's resistant to impact and heat, as well as to oil and chemicals. The outer sheath is low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), which means it won't release any toxic fumes in the event of a fire. This makes it a safe option for use in potentially hazardous environments.
