RS PRO D-Shackle/Galvanised Plated
The usability of Shackles, also referred to as gyve reaches hundreds of years. Shackles built their reputation as the simple, but solid construction providing the most cost-effective method of attaching the anchor with chain. The primary purpose is lifting heavy objects and equipment. Basic models are available for domestic and light use, such as for luggage and tow ropes. The commercial site is using the Shackles to cope with more extreme load capacities and atmospheric conditions. Each Shackle is made of durable and high-quality material, ensuring a perfect connection to the sling and therefore providing excellent reliability. For Shackles that are suitable for lifting, we are strongly recommending checking a weight limit guidance. If using in extreme temperatures (more than + 200°C or - 40°C) always consult this with either a manufacturer or distributor.
The Shackle consists of 2 parts, which is the body and the pin (or bolt). The body can have different shapes. Therefore, you can see on the market Bow Shackles, D Shackles, Green Pin Shackles, Safety Pin Shakes, Screw Pink Shackles, Stainless-Steel and Pilling Shackles. Another way of identifying Shackles are by pin types, such as round pin and cotter (class 1), screw (class 2) and bolt, nut and cotter pin (class 3). We are proudly introducing our won branded RS PRO D Shackle recognisable as they are narrower than a Bow Shackle and, in most cases, they have a threaded pin or pin close. The purpose of their existence is to serve for an in-line load, which explains why the loop is so small. The D-Shackle is galvanised plated meaning this is a superficial protection for indoor and outdoor. This D-Shackle (known as Chain Shackle) with 12.7 mm diameter, withstands of the 1-ton load comply to BS 3032:1958 standards. The body comes with a screw pin to serve as security to your loads and plant.
