These brushes are made with an aluminium oxide mineral, a sharp cutting and durable abrasive which continually self-fractures during use to expose fresh cutting edges and provide a smooth consistent finish – unlike traditional abrasives, such as garnet, which quickly wear down with use. This high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention makes aluminium oxide mineral ideal for sanding and finishing applications. It can be used on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Scotch-Brite Roloc Cut and Polish Flap Brushes are engineered to conform to the substrate, so they are a good option for working inside diameters and for blending surface imperfections. The open, flexible flap construction makes the brush soft and pliable and helps to produce uniform finishes. The brushes give a smooth consistent finish, without the risk of overworking or damaging the part.
