Product Details
TouchKey 2 click mikroBUS™
The MikroElektronika TouchKey 2 click Board is an accessory board that provides a simple method of adding capacitive touch pads to a development platform.
Like all click Boards the TouchKey 2 click fits the popular mikroBUS™ socket, creating a plug-in solution to add functionality, removing the need for hardware configuration.
The TouchKey 2 click provides 4 touchpads that can be used to demonstrate capacitive touch and projected capacitive touch. 4 LEDs indicate when a touch has been registered.
To create a projected capacitive touch demonstration the TouchKey 2 click is supplied with a plastic overlay. With this setup the board senses the proximity of a finger on the substrate above, registering a touch. Such a configuration can be considered for applications where moisture may be present, protecting the circuitry from harm.
The board is based around the Microchip ATtiny817 AVR 8-bit MCU, utilising the integrated QTouch controller. This device is configurable and supports wake-up on touch and power-save modes. Furthermore to offer high noise immunity and moisture resistance the ATtiny817 supports applications with a driven shield. The ATtiny817 interfaces with the host development board over UART.
