RS PRO Dome Head Multigrip Blind Rivet
RS PRO introduces a fantastic range of dome head multigrip blind rivets. Designed to be easily installed and able to secure joints with short clamp lengths, these rivets are engineered to create a permanent mechanical fastening, they expand into a pre-drilled hole to create a strong and solid hold. The blind rivet can be installed entirely from one side of the material when access is limited to the fixing, unlike machine screws and nuts. Designed to have a wider grip range than a standard rivet these multigrip rivets are ideal to reduce inventory. The domed head is the most common and multifunctional style.
Made from A2 stainless steel to ensure a high corrosion resistance to elongate the life of your rivets whilst keeping it lightweight and strong. These steel rivets have a wide grip range with excellent load spread setting and mandrel locking system.
Used predominantly in white goods, electronics and HVAC and storage solutions.

Features and Benefits
- Made from A2 stainless steel for solid rivets and structural strength
- Easy and clean installation
- Can be used where only one side of the application is accessible
- Increased grip range 3.5 mm – 7 mm
- Creates a permanent and high tensile structural rivet joint with little effort
- Body length 12 mm
Applications
Rivets are mechanical fasteners that consist of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end and tail at the opposite end to the head. On the installation, a riveter places a rivet in a pre-drilled hole, and the tail is set or bucked (i.e. deformed) with a rivet gun, rivet tool or pneumatic hammer so that it expands to about 1.5 - 2 times the original shaft diameter, holding the rivet in place. They are used to permanently join two steel, aluminium or copper plates usually in mechanical applications where it is imperative that joints do not become loose and cause failure. They are especially suited to situations where there are secondary or irregular holes with their wider grip range. Most common, everyday rivet applications include:
White goods
Electronics
DIY
General engineering
HVAC
Aviation, aerospace, and automotive
