Product Details
TLS-GD2, Escape Release
This Escape Release option of TLS GD2 series is intended for machine guarding with full body access. The switch is installed so that the escape release push button on the rear side is accessible from inside the hazardous area. This allows the intentional unlocking of the TLS-GD2 from inside a hazardous area, providing a means of escape for a person who may become trapped.
High locking force
Five contacts: 2NC 1NO for door position monitoring, 1NC 1NO for lock monitoring

440G-T21BNPM-1B Guard Locking Switch
Ensure vital safe-access to machinery for personnel and keep your safety guard secure with the 440G-T21BNPM-1B Escape Release Solenoid Interlock Safety Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.
This positive mode, tongue-operated interlock switch ensures that machine doors and gates are safely locked while the power supply to the machine is on. It features a rotatable head with 2 entry slots, offering 4 actuator entry options. A blanking plug is provided to seal the unused slot.
With the TLS-1-GD2 safety switch the barrier can only open when the internal solenoid is energised by an external signal. In addition, the power supply is cut off when the safety barrier is opened. This helps to reduce the risk of machine operators entering an unsafe area where machinery could be in motion and cause serious injury.
The 440G-T21BNPM-1B safety switch is Power-to-Release with Escape Release. This TLS-1-GD2 unit has M20 conduit entry and 24 V ac/dc solenoid voltage. The safety contacts are 2NC, auxiliary contact is 1NO. The solenoid contacts are 1NC/1NO. It has a rated insulation voltage is 500V and the thermal current is 10A. This switch is best suited for use with machines which do not stop instantly, or which may be damaged by interference while in motion. It ensures that machine operators are highly protected and that your machine processes can run smoothly, helping to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.

How do Solenoid Interlock Switches work?
Solenoid interlock switches work by having their internal solenoid energised (Power to Release) or de-energised (Power to Lock) by an external signal. The solenoid is a wire coil which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. These types of safety switches are often used in industrial environments on machine guards to monitor the barrier status and limit unsafe access to hazardous equipment. They ensure that safety barriers remain securely locked while dangerous processes are running. They are useful with machinery that does not instantly stop, such as high inertia rotating machines.
