Fluke Test Probe, 6kV Voltage, Metal Tip - 0532424

This test probe is a high-voltage accessory designed to extend a voltmeter’s measurement range for energy-limited circuits within equipment. It enables safe measurement of very high Peak AC or DC voltages when used with a suitable metre and is intended for tasks where the measured source is not part of power distribution systems.

Features & Benefits

• Measures up to 40,000V Peak to access high-voltage points safely
• Metal tip delivers precise contact for repeatable readings
• Available in black and red for clear polarity identification
• Designed for low-energy circuits to reduce exposure risk

**Applications**

• Suitable for diagnosing HV sections in televisions and photocopiers
• Ideal for inspection of industrial high-voltage components in equipment
• Used with multimeters to extend DC and AC voltage measurement range
• Can be used for maintenance of energy-limited electronic assemblies

What input impedance should the metre have for accurate readings?

Use a voltmeter with 10MΩ input impedance to preserve the probe’s measurement accuracy.

Can this probe be used on building power distribution systems?

No, it is intended only for measurements on energy-limited circuits within equipment and not for power distribution networks.

What tip material is provided and what advantage does it offer?

The probe has a metal tip which ensures secure contact and consistent electrical connection for precise measurements.

What temperature range should be observed during operation?

Operate the probe between 0°C to 50°C to remain within its specified environmental limits.

Note

Only suitable for low energy applications
