Product Details
Cynergy3 SSF211 and SSF212 Horizontal Float Switches
From Cynergy3, the SSF211 series and SSF212 series are horizontal float switches. They operate in liquids with Specific Gravity (SG) of 0.8 or above. These float switches are constructed from a reed switch and pivoted actuator magnet. SSF211 and SSF212 switches feature an N/C (normally closed) contact.
SSF211 float switches are designed for horizontal mounting within a tank. They are only suitable for applications where you have suitable access to the inside of the tank so that you can fit them. SSF212 float switches can be mounted from outside the tank and do not require access.

Features & Benefits
While supplied with an N/O contact, you can easily configure this to N/C (normally closed) by inverting the switch by 180° when you mount it. Instead of the float moving in a downwards direction as standard, it would move in an upwards direction away from the main body of the switch.
These float switches feature a compact design at only 47 mm long.
The stem is constructed from SS304 stainless steel while the float is made from SS316 stainless steel. This ensures that these limit switches are suitable for use in the most rugged environments.
All SSF211 float switches are fitted with a 1 m long 17/0.10 (AWG22) cable. They can be fitted internally via a 1/8 BSP thread.
SSF212 float switches are fitted with a 1 m long 17/0.10 (AWG22) cable, plug and socket or M12 socket. This varies by model. They can be externally fitted via a 1/2 NPT thread.

Sensata Cynergy3 Horizontal Float Switch, 1m, M12 - SSF215 Series - SSF215XPM12
This float switch from Sensata Cynergy3 detects liquid levels to prevent overflow, alert you to low water levels and assist you with emptying or filling your tank. The float lies on the liquid surface and causes the switch to activate when the levels rise or fall. This is a horizontal switch that mounts to the side of your tank, making it an ideal choice when the top and bottom are inaccessible. The maximum current for this device is 500mA.
Features & Benefits
• Long reach for thick-walled tanks and boss mounting
• Standard M12 plug connection
• Made from durable stainless steel
• Can be easily fitted from the outside with the 1/2 NPT (National Pipe Thread) external mount
• 1m cable for flexible connection

What can the switch output be set to?
This device has both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) output options, giving you flexibility in the layout of your electrical circuit.
Can this switch withstand pressurised systems?
It can operate up to a maximum pressure of 10 bar, so you can pair it with a powerful water pumping system.
