The FAZ series of miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) from Eatons xEffect range has a current limiting design providing fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through electrical energy and overload currents that can damage the circuit.

Ideally suited to control circuits and electrical distribution boards the FAZ series of MCBs offer a wide range of diverse protection characteristics, protecting your electrical equipment against overload damage. For additional safety, the MCB breaker cannot be defeated by holding the handle in the ON position, these MCBs are also finger proof and have a trip-free mechanism.

These MCBs have both a thermal and electromagnetic release, with rated currents of 0.16 A up to 63 A and a switching capacity of 15kA or 10kA depending on the device type.

The FAZ series includes miniature circuit breakers, interlocks, busbars and snap-on accessories including auxiliaries and tripping modules.

IEC 60947-2 Relates to Low Voltage Circuit Breakers for use in industrial and similar installations. In the UK these are traditionally known as miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), moulded case circuit breakers
(MCCBs) and also air circuit breakers (ACBs).

Use this MCB (miniature circuit breaker) from Eaton to protect your cables and equipment from damaging electrical faults. It's fitted with a thermal-magnetic release and an electromagnetic release, which allow it to quickly detect both overcurrents and short circuits and disconnect the power supply. The type C trip characteristic means it quickly breaks the circuit when flow-through currents are between 5 and 10 times the 10kA rating. This makes it useful in higher-powered circuits found in large commercial buildings and industrial plants.
