Festo Series MS Filter Regulator, 0.50 to 12 bar Pressure Regulation Range, 40μm Filtration Size - MS4-LFR-1/4-D7-E-R-V-VS, Numeric Part Number: 8232857

This filter regulator controls and conditions compressed Air for industrial pneumatic systems. It maintains a steady downstream pressure while removing liquid and particulate contamination to protect actuators and valves. The unit is intended for vertical mounting within a narrow angle and is compatible with compressed Air and inert gases meeting ISO 8573-1:2010 quality classes.

Features and Benefits:

• 0.5 to 12 bar regulation range delivers consistent output pressure
• 1500 L/min standard flow enables high-flow system performance
• 40 μm filtration size removes fine particulates from airflow
• Polycarbonate bowl offers transparent reservoir inspection
• Manual drain permits controlled condensate removal

Applications

• Suitable for pneumatic tool supply lines in production
• Ideal for control valve pilot Air conditioning
• Used with inert gas feeds requiring particulate removal
• Can be used for workshop compressor outlet conditioning

What operating pressures can it accept?

It operates between 0.2 MPa and 1.2 MPa, equivalent to 2 bar to 12 bar.

What materials are used for wetted components?

The housing and sub-base are die-cast aluminium, Seals and membrane are NBR, and the bowl is Makrolon® polycarbonate.

How is condensate handled and what capacity exists?

Condensate is removed via a manual non-detenting drain and the bowl holds up to 19 ml.

Which connection sizes are provided for installation?

Ports 1 and 2 use G1/4 threaded pneumatic connections and the pressure gauge port is 1/4 in G thread.

What environmental and media temperature limits apply?

Storage, ambient and media temperatures range from -10 °C to 60 °C.
