StarTech Fibre Optic Cable, 2m Cable Length, Yellow Jacket - SMDOS2LCLC2M

This Fibre optic cable provides a duplex LC-to-LC single-mode link for high-speed network connections. It is intended for data-centre and telecom environments requiring 100Gbps-capable connectivity over long runs, using laser-optimised 9/125μm OS2 Fibre. The jacket is low-smoke zero-halogen to reduce toxic emissions in confined or poorly ventilated spaces, while bend-insensitive construction improves routing in dense installations.

Features and Benefits:

• 0.3dB insertion loss for minimal signal attenuation
• 55dB return loss to reduce reflected optical energy
• 1260 to 1625nm Wavelength range enabling CWDM support
• Bend-insensitive core allowing tight-radius routing
• LSZH jacket improving safety in enclosed spaces

Applications

• Suitable for high-speed server-to-switch links
• Ideal for fibre-channel connections in storage arrays
• Used with CWDM equipment across extended wavelengths
• Can be used for indoor installations in transport vehicles
• Suitable for telecom patching in legacy OS1 environments

What temperature range can it operate within?

It operates between -20°C and 60°C.

How is polarity indicated on the cable ends?

Connectors are numbered and colour-coded to show polarity.

What testing accompanies each cable?

Every unit is individually measured for insertion loss and supplied with a test report.

Which standards does the Fibre meet?

It meets ITU‑T G.652.D/G.657.A1 and IEC 60703-2-50 type B1.3/B6.a1.

What construction reduces flame-hazard emissions?

The jacket is Low Smoke Zero Halogen material to limit smoke and toxic fumes.
