StarTech Fibre Optic Cable, 30m Cable Length, Yellow Jacket - SPSMLCLC-OS2-30M

This Fibre optic cable provides single-mode simplex connectivity for high-speed networks, designed for point-to-point links and single-Fibre transceiver use. It uses OS2 bend-insensitive Fibre with LC to LC UPC terminations and is housed in a low smoke zero halogen jacket suitable for installations where reduced smoke and toxic emissions are required. The cable supports extended Wavelength operation and is intended for use across demanding indoor and enclosed environments.

Features and Benefits:

• 0.3 dB insertion loss for minimal signal attenuation
• 55 dB return loss for improved signal reflection performance
• 9/125 μm core-to-cladding ratio for single-mode transmission
• Bend-insensitive Fibre enabling tight-radius routing
• LSZH jacket reducing smoke and toxic gas emissions

Applications

• Used with SFP transceivers in high-speed switch links
• Suitable for 40G and 100G Ethernet backbone connections
• Ideal for simplex patch panels in constrained racks
• Can be used for single-fibre NICs and BiDi setups
• Suitable for installations in enclosed transport environments

What temperature range can it operate within?

It is rated to operate between -20°C and 60°C.

Which standards does the Fibre meet?

The Fibre exceeds ITU-T G.652.D and G.657.A1 and conforms to IEC 60793-2-50 type B1.3/B6.a1.

What physical construction enhances durability?

The bend-insensitive core is surrounded by a low-refractive-index layer and an aramid-reinforced LSZH jacket.

How is performance verification provided?

Each cable is individually tested for insertion loss and supplied with a test report.
