Festo Series MS Filter Regulator, 0.50 to 12 bar Pressure Setting Range, 40μm Filtration Size - MS6-LFR-3/8-D7-E-R-M-VS, Numeric Part Number: 8232907

This filter regulator provides regulated compressed Air with integrated particulate removal for pneumatic systems. Designed for in-line or front-panel installation, it offers consistent output pressure and secondary exhaust capability while handling compressed Air and inert gases to the specified purity class. The unit operates within typical workshop temperature ranges and is suitable where moderate corrosion resistance and food-contact suitability (per supplementary material notes) are required.

Features and Benefits:

• 0.5 to 12 bar regulation range ensures controlled downstream pressure
• 4000 L/min nominal flow supports high-flow pneumatic demands
• 40μm filtration delivers particle removal with greater than 75% condensate separation
• Polycarbonate bowl with plastic guard allows visible condensate monitoring
• Manual rotating drain enables simple condensate evacuation

Applications

• Suitable for general compressed-air distribution lines
• Ideal for feeding pneumatic actuators and valves
• Used with inert gas supply systems requiring regulated pressure
• Can be used in food-sector installations following material notes
• Suitable for plant areas with moderate corrosion exposure

What port sizes are provided for pipe connections?

Both inlet and outlet pneumatic connections use G3/8 thread.

How is the condensate removed from the bowl?

The condensate is expelled via a manually operated, rotating drain.

What materials are used for the fluid-contact components?

The housing is die-cast aluminium, the bowl is Makrolon® polycarbonate, Seals and membrane are NBR, and internal plates use POM.

What pressure and temperature limits apply during operation?

The unit accepts up to 20 bar maximum operating pressure and operates between -10°C and 60°C.

How does the unit perform regarding flow and hysteresis?

It provides a standardised flow rate of 4000 L/min and a maximum pressure hysteresis of 0.25 bar.
