Infineon BTS716G Series Power Switch IC, 3.60W Power, 40V Maximum Supply Voltage - BTS716GXUMA1

This power switch IC is a four-channel high-side switch designed for automotive electrical control. It operates from a minimum supply of 5.5V up to a 40V maximum and is provided in a PG-DSO-20 surface-mount package suited to Compact board layouts. The device supports multiple inputs and outputs for system-level switching and is manufactured to meet automotive AEC criteria for use in vehicle environments.

Features and Benefits:

• 35mΩ low Rds(on) reduces conduction losses
• 5.3A operating current enables moderate load driving
• 4 inputs and 4 outputs allow multi-channel load control
• 150°C maximum operating temperature supports thermal resilience
• 20 pins in PG-DSO-20 permit dense surface-mount integration

Applications

• Suitable for automotive load management modules
• Used with vehicle actuators requiring high-side switching
• Ideal for multi-channel power distribution tasks
• Can be used for control of lighting and auxiliary systems
• Used for Compact surface-mount board assemblies

What supply voltage range is required for operation?

It requires at least 5.5V and can accept up to 40V.

How many channels does it provide for system control?

It provides four independent input channels and four corresponding outputs.

What thermal limits should be considered during design?

The device is specified to operate at temperatures up to 150°C.

What mounting style and pin count does it use?

It is supplied as a surface-mount component in a 20-pin PG-DSO-20 package.
