HellermannTyton Connectivity Fibre Optic Patch Panel, Single Mode Fibre, 9 Ports - FDEC-3SP/WH

This fibre optic patch panel is a compact wall box designed to break out, splice and connect single‑mode duplex fibres at building entry or floor distribution points. It provides connectorised access for SC connectors within a small form‑factor wall‑mounted enclosure, enabling orderly transition from backbone cables to individual customer circuits in multi‑dwelling and multi‑business units.

Features and Benefits:

• Supports 9 SC duplex adaptors for flexible connectorisation
• Holds up to 18 splices on a hinged tray for neat joint management
• Preserves minimum 30mm bend radius to protect single‑mode fibre
• Accepts riser/backbone cables up to 9.0mm for varied cable sizes
• Dedicated drop cable exit with strain relief to prevent fibre stress

Applications

• Used for building entry point breakout and distribution
• Suitable for floor distributor installations in MDUs and MBUs
• Ideal for pre‑connectorising backbone cable before customer connection
• Can be used to house passive optical splitter components
• Used where compact, wall‑mounted single‑mode fibre management is required

How is internal fibre routed to prevent kinks and damage?

The enclosure includes guided fibre paths and a hinged management tray that maintain a 30mm minimum bend radius throughout the unit.

What splice capacity and arrangement does it provide?

The hinged splice tray supports up to 18 splices with space for double‑stacked 45mm splice holders and separate pigtail storage.

Which connector formats can be installed in the adaptor tray?

The upper tray accepts up to nine SC duplex adaptors or five LC quad adaptors for connectorised backbone termination.

How are drop cables secured at the exit point?

A dedicated exit area incorporates strain relief features to secure drop cables and isolate them from the splice region.
