Festo Series MS Filter Regulator, 0.30 to 7 bar Pressure Regulation Range, 40μm Filtration Size - MS4-LFR-1/4-D6-E-R-V-MPA, Numeric Part Number: 8232849

This filter regulator conditions compressed Air by combining particulate separation and pressure control for pneumatic systems. It maintains regulated output pressure and removes condensate and particles to an Air purity profile suited to many industrial tasks. The unit accepts G1/4 ports and is intended for vertical mounting with a controlled outlet pressure for downstream components.

Features and Benefits:

• 1700 L/min flow rate provides high-capacity Air delivery
• 0.3 to 7 bar adjustment range enables precise downstream pressure control
• 40 μm filtration size reduces particulate ingress to pneumatic devices
• Manual drain allows controlled condensate removal without automation
• Polycarbonate bowl offers Visual condensate monitoring

Applications

• Suitable for machine tool Air preparation systems
• Ideal for pneumatic valve islands requiring stable pressure
• Used with inert gas supplies in process stations
• Can be used for compressed Air service in food-related setups
• Suitable for workshops needing Visual condensate inspection

What pressure limits govern safe operation?

The device is rated for operation up to 12 bar maximum operating pressure and functions reliably between -10 °C and 60 °C.

Which connection interfaces are provided for gauges and ports?

Both pneumatic ports and the pressure gauge port use G1/4 thread sizing compatible with standard fittings.

What materials make up components in contact with the media?

The housing is die-cast aluminium, the bowl is Makrolon® polycarbonate, Seals and membrane are NBR, and internal plates use POM.

How effective is the condensate separation and containment?

Separation efficiency exceeds 75% with a bowl capacity of 19 ml and a manual, non-detenting condensate drain.
